Worth the upgrade

our first robot vacuum was the powerbot 7070 we got 4 yrs ago. it did a good job but the mapping wasn't the greatest and decided to upgrade. the technology has made leaps and bounds over our previous robot. the mapping is the biggest difference. being able to tell the robot what room to clean is something we couldn't do before. our previous vacuum we emptied once a week but this clean station means that's now every couple months. i definitely recommend this as an upgrade.

Sucks up the pet hair

I've had a couple of robot vacuums, and this is by far the best I've used. I have an Alaskan Malamute who sheds lumps of hair every day. I have the vacuum set to run every morning around 3 AM. It does so well on both the carpet and hardwood floors. It is so nice to come down in the morning to a clean carpet. I get a report on my phone every morning after it is done telling me what it did. The app is easy to use and set up a schedule and area to clean.

Awesome upgrade, the AI is great!

Coming from an old school Neato BV85, this "smart" vacuum was a significant upgrade. When I first turned it on, it "mapped" the house and built a floorplan profile. I misunderstood that it would be building the floorplan while it vacuumed as my old vacuum did, but it instead drove the entire house and used its LIDAR to map the floors. I messed up because I closed some doors that I didn't want it to vacuum at the moment so those rooms didn't get mapped. After I figured out what was going on, I watched the mapping occur real time on my phone, it was quite impressive and very accurate. I later learned that if I had let it map the entire house, I could forbid those areas from being vacuumed whenever I wanted to, so I should have let it map. I'll just have to redo it at some point. The vacuum worked well, was very quiet, and did the whole house on a single charge. It did return to empty its dust bin several times mostly due to the immense amount of dog hair. This is a nice feature. Overall it did well, and was very quiet. Only noticed two things that my old Neato seemed to do better. The Samsung has no side cleaning spin brush to get up close to the baseboard like my Neato. It still seemed to do OK, but it missed a few small spots because of this. Secondly, due to the way the sensors work, it would not get up close when it made a turn around an outside corner. It would angle in and then drive and hit, then back up and try again until it got straightened out. Bottom line is that it wouldn't get close to the wall for about the first foot after it went around an outside corner. I think the software algorithm can be updated over time to improve this. I like the vacuum and really like the WiFi features, I didn't think I would this much.

Blew away our expectations

I'll start off by saying that I haven't even had to think about vacuuming since I got the Jet Bot AI+, and that's a huge lift off our shoulders considering we own a German Shephard. I own the previous generation from Samsung and was really pleased at how well it cleaned and how well it held up over the last 3 years. Barely any maintenance needed beside cleaning the filter and brush. That model is being demoted to downstairs now that we upgraded to Jet Bot AI. We love the self-emptying clean station - we literally have just ignored it for 30 days and its still not 100% full yet. The newer model runs much quieter, is built better and avoid items on the floor so well. The app functionality is an amazing upgrade from the previous vacuum now that we can select the actual days and times to run the vacuum, get floor plan cleaning updates, set no-go zones, etc. Oh and if you're away from home and need to check up on the cat or dog this model has a camera on it that you can control wherever you are. Insane. Love this feature. Worth every dollar.

After waiting 7 months for backorder, I tested this vacuum for 3 weeks before returning it. With all that waiting, I guess my expectations were too great and it could not exceed it. I'm comparing my experiences with the Roomba S9+, Deebot T8+ AIVI, Deebot N8 Pro+, and Shark AI. They all had their plus/minuses. Overall, in terms of cost + usability + performance + reliability, I ended up with the N8 Pro. Wished the JetBot AI+ performed better, it really looks hecka cool.

This Robot Vacuum is such an improved model over my previous. I love that it can talk and let me know what is going on. It cleans really well. The map features are nice as i can pop into the app and have select spaces cleaned or everything. Nice that also view the onboard camera and see what is going on in other parts of the house even if i do not have it cleaning. The find my pet feature is nice but the listed dog breads is minimal. I have a labradoodle and that is not an option to choose. Overall I love this thing.

good: -quite operation even at full power -obstacle avoidance works well -self-emptying feature is fantastic bad: -smartthings app is terrible. couldn't connect with my phone--have to use wife's samsung phone to work. -setup is extremely painful. software kept crashing & wouldn't connect. -we get a false "cliff warning" daily where the carpet meets the hard floor. it's only a 1/2" transition. -errors cause the vacuum to lose track of its location. you'll have to carry the robot back to the charging base before it can figure out where it's at again. such a pain! for $1300 this robot should perform spectacularly. it is a great idea but the execution is seriously disappointing.

i want to say that i love this vacuum and i sort of do, but if i'm being honest, i have to say it has one huge deficiency. it doesn't vacuum under my kitchen cabinets. it stays about 3 inches out. it could fit, it just doesn't do it.

I was skeptical when my husband told me we were getting another robot vacuum, but this one has far exceeded my expectations. With our two huskies, we have to run it every day but it does a really great job covering the whole house and getting all the fur and dirt. I absolutely love the self clean station, it saves so much time! The app and cleaning map is surprisingly accurate and helpful. I definitely recommend this vacuum, especially if you have pets.

I was expecting more from this upgrade. No recognize small objects ease, if you have any glass furniture it's going again to it. The same happend with silver furniture, it hit and move all the chairs. Does not clean good on carpets on auto mode. Positive: really good design, the cleaning station it amazing, the app control it's easy and have a lot of new features. I think it's too expensive for the work that really done.

Though sometimes thinking about setting up electronics can be seen as dreadful and a chore you definitely won't have to worry about that with this Bot Vacuum. It was really simple to set up! Having the app to connect with it made it even more user friendly. With having long work days and even busier weekends the one thing you look forward to towards the end of the day is coming home and relaxing.....not cleaning. This vacuum helps out so much for busy lifes who really don't have the time or energy to clean floors. Getting one less chore off my list and more time to focus on other things. I enjoy how its not loud or too frightening for our pets! We have 3 cats and they are more curious of the bot than afraid. Bonus points for its intellect knowledge to notice every big obstacle and to note/program it in its layout.

Suction could be massively improved. Docking station is designed to be on hard floor, not carpet. Often runs out of power or gives up trying to dock on carpet. Camera tower wedges itself in such a way it prevents docking. While the bot creates a map in the app, you cannot edit it, clean it up for no go areas. Relies on magnetic straps on the floor (from 3 or 4 generations ago). Very small dirt compartment, My old robot vacuum pulls up 10 times the dirt and dog hair. I purchased to replace a Samsung 9250 which way outperforms this one even though I have repaired it several times. Not worth the money, even on sale.

I bought this vacuum about 2 months ago, and it has been amazing at cleaning my apartment. A once a day vacuuming schedule is pretty good at keeping on top of my dog's shedding. It's able to traverse my apartment and avoids certain obstacles that would jam my other robot vacuums. It has an RC mode for manual controls (great for snooping around the house while outside). It also has a Find My Pet feature for the robot vacuum to wander around the house until the camera catches sight of the dog. The only complaint I have is that it's a bit tall and cannot vacuum under a couple of my furniture pieces, but even then, it's not much of an issue.

This is an excellent machine. The only problem I have with it is that I need a stronger bristle brush for this. Most of the floors I have are hardwood or tile, but some of the rugs this soft brush just cannot lift up the dog hair.

I have this scheduled to run 5 days a week. I vacuumed with my upright after each week and it is full every time. This is a HORRIBLE vacuum. I have to switch it to "max" suction each time since you can't leave it at that and it automatically defaults to "smart" suction. Again, even at "max" suction it doesn't get dog hair, dust, or dirt off carpet. Works fine on hardwood but so does a $150 shark. Also, doesn't fit under things as it has a high profile. It doesn't vacuum while using the video monitoring function. Overall, this is a waste of over $1,000.

I have had this Jet Bot AI+ for about a month and it is doing a great job once the map is completed. it does a great job on cleaning floors and rug, we just recently got a cat and being able to run this at anytime really helps with keeping the cat hair down. i am really glad we got the cleaning station with the Jet bot because it sometimes need to empty while its cleaning. The only thing i would like to see adding is a 3D mapping so you can see the upstair view when cleaning different floor levels. other then that worth every penny.

Pros: Maps very well, seems to clean well on hardwood floors, built-in camera is cool to watch it clean, "Find my pet" feature has made us laugh a few times (and actually works!), Looks sleek and powerful. Cons: Availability of vacuum bags, won't go into a carpeted room I have for some reason, emptying into clean station is extremely loud. Overall, I've been very impressed with my robot vacuum for the ~1 month I've had it. If you're considering buying it, I would recommend you do so.

I've had the Samsung powerbot which was great. But this blows it out of the water. The AI detection of rooms and objects blows my mind. It has only been stuck a few times where as my original power bot got stuck places often. I have it tied Into my Google home and runs every time I leave. With 2 dogs and a house full of kids I couldn't live with out this unit. It empties itself flawlessly as well. I would highly recommend this unit

The Samsung Jet Bot AI+ Vacuum with Clean Station is by far the best robotic vacuum we've ever owned. The ability for the little robot to identify and avoid small toys and wires is a HUGE beneift. Our previous robot vacuums (and we've owned them from four different brands) did not compare in the ability for this machine to effectively clean without requiring baby sitting! I highly recommend it for this reason alone, especially if you have small kids who leave things laying around. (We're not pet owners, but we understand this guy can identify "dog leavings" too. You can imagine how horrible it would be for a robot vac to suck that stuff up and smear it all over ther house..... If you have kids or pets this is the right robot vacuum to get. The ability to go back to the station and empty the cleaning bin, while not unique, is very useful and executed well with this product. This, too, saves a ton of time and hassle of having to check if the dust bin is full. Especially so compared to smaller robo vacs that require frequent emptying. My only complaint with this vacuum is that it is taller than most. However that is balanced out against the additional battery and dust bin capacity you get along with a huge array of cameras and sensors that make this thing truly smart. There is only one place in our kitchen it cannont reach where the lower profile vacuums we own will clean. I rate this machine very highly and recommend it for anyone looking to simplify the job of tidying up the floor with worrying about a robot eating small toys, shoe laces, power cords, etc... that inevitably get left about by the kiddos. We received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest and fair review.

this is a fantastic smart vacuum. my only complaint is the inaccurate object recognition. it often labels obstacles as blankets/socks when they are clearly not, usually door frames. it also can't handle rugs or vents and just goes around them.

i ordered this 3 months ago for 1300 and it just arrived. now it is on sale for 999. that is ridiculous. some parts appear really cheap and poorly designed. the vacuum is always on. mapping, surveillance, find pet. it basically makes all features useless, and unable to be used late at night. find my pet has found many things but not my pet. i mean would be cool if my pet was a blue table i guess. when my pet is found, there is no option to keep looking, so if you have multiple pets. my cats run away when i use the feature too since the vacuum is running and scares them. it has vacuum up every cat toy i have , doesn't seem to detect much. it pushes tables around. but i think my favorite, is running into my white door and telling me it's going to fall down the steps.

so, my low rating is for several reasons: 1) it is too tall to get under tv console 2) it could have better suctioning power for rugs 3) it could have a wider suction area 4) it could have better rollers for rugs and floors 5) it needs a battery that will do the job without having to recharge (which takes too long)! we purchased it because we are a samsung household. we have 4 phones, 2tablets, 2 earbuds, 5 tvs, 2 blue ray players, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and induction stove. up until now we have never been disappointed. this is by far the most disappointing purchase. don't get me wrong it is just okay, but not worth $1200.

I have used the Jet Bot a few times now. The carpet looks great with a very thorough clean. I also really like the features in the SmartThings app. A few issues - it gets caught on the throw rugs on top of my carpet, so the have to be moved before vacuuming. When cleaning behind doors, the bot sometimes closes the door and traps itself in a room. The battery has died away from the base station, so I have to hunt the vacuum down in order to get it to charge. Not major issues, but for the price, I would hope these get addressed in system updates.

I was very close to canceling my order after waiting 4 months from pre order, which cost this review a star, but I'm glad I stuck around. Thank you Samsung for making a product worth buying.

i've been using this vacuum for about a month now and so far its been great! pros are its really great at navigation and not getting stuck on anything. the self empty bin works perfectly as well. cons are there are currently no replacement parts available including vacuum bags for the self empty bin, something samsung needs to fix asap. also the vacuum brush doesn't do a great job at deep cleaning carpets

I am in love with the Samsung Jet Bot AI+ Vacuum with Clean Station. Before I figured out how to work the app on my phone, I just pushed the button and off it went cleaning. First thing I noticed was how quiet it was! Compared to my other bot, this vacuum is 10 times quieter making it possible to run at anytime, even while someone in on a zoom call in the room next door. It cleans very nicely. I love the straight lines and how it goes around the perimeter of the room at the end of the cleaning cycle. That may not always be necessary, but I am so impressed how nice the room look afterwards. I can vacuum all four of my rooms without having it return to the charging station. My last bot only lasted two rooms at the most. The nicest feature is not not having to unload the dust after every cleaning. I love the clean station that automatically empties the dirt for you when it returns to the station. Now that I have the app set up on my phone and I mapped out my floorplan, I can select which rooms I want vacuumed with the click of a button. It is easy to use and I've never had trouble with it maneuvering around items my children have left of the floor. Overall very, very pleased with this vacuum. It's one of the best ones out there.

I am no rookie when it comes to robotic vacuum cleaners. In around 2004 I was an early adopter with one of the very first systems that would loudly bump around your house in random paths. There was a strong promise behind the product, but it took years and numerous innovations for the technology to become truly useful. After going through half-a-dozen robo vacs in the past 15 years the Samsung Jet™ Bot AI+ Vacuum with Clean Station has arrived to vie for the top spot in the pantheon of domestic robots. I was offered the The Samsung Jet™ Bot AI+ Vacuum at a discount in exchange for my honest review and I was happy to participate. This latest model brings on many new improvements, but the ability for the robot to return home and empty its dust bin into a large hopper and the AI camera features are the highlights. One of my biggest complaints with all my previous robots was that no matter how large the dust bin was it required constant removal and trips to the garage to empty. This is now a thing of the past. But even more impressive than this feature is the built-in camera and AI. The Intel AI technology is able to identify and avoid many small items that trip up every other robot vac from my past. The robot will literally see objects like socks, towels and even power cords, label them on the map and go around them! No longer do you need to find the robot to pull out a sock and get it going again. This is a quiet vacuum especially given the suction power it can produce. Although, when emptying the dust bin it does get quite loud for a few seconds. My only real gripe with this vacuum is the height of the unit. This is the tallest robot vac I've ever owned so it does not go under some furniture as my previous units have. It also avoids the edge of our kitchen where there is a slight recess under the cabinets. This isn't a deal breaker, but it does require me to break out the stick vac for a few little places. The app shows you the map of the house once it has created one and allows you to name and modify rooms and furniture. You can then ask it to clean a specific room or area which is a great standard feature on high-end robot vacuums today. It does this very well. Overall I'm thoroughly impressed with this latest robotic vacuum from Samsung. It has a steep price tag, but if you are looking for the most advanced, effective and low-touch robot vacuum this would be my recommendation above the other offerings in the market.

My partner was lucky enough to get to test this vacuum and aside from being a beautiful appliance, it just rocks. It was easy to set up, navigates around obstacles (partner's socks) expertly, and gets more efficient the more it cleans. The camera feature is awesome, we can use it to check on our pets, if they are in the same room, we probably need to get more of these. It's truly remarkable how much of an improvement this is over our previous robot, it has great suction power, being able to set no-go zones without laying out magnetic strips is a great feature, as are the washable filters. It easily transitions from carpet to hardwood floors without missing anything or leaving debris behind like a few we've had in the past. We're very familiar with the Samsung smart apps and haven't had the issues some others have had, as long as our wifi is working it's always connected and ready to go. This vacuum makes me feel like the next step is Rosie from the Jestson's.

Samsung has done it again when it comes to the leading front of technology. While that is a bold statement to start off with, I stand behind my word having first hand experience with other robot vac's of the past in comparison to the JetBot AI+. From the moment I plugged it in I was impressed by the extremely user friendly app functionality within Samsung SmartThings app. After the initial setup, the JetBot AI+ immediately put it's Lidar technology to use by creating a virtual 'map' of our household – even being as detailed as to number each individual room that it had scanned (I'll share why this is important later). With prior robot vacs my biggest issues were how "dumb" they seemed to get (how many times have we seen one of these things get stuck on the leg of a chair right?), and the constant need for maintenance with emptying the small dustbin. The first thing I noticed was that Samsung immediately addressed my grievances with just how dang smart it is and how strong the suction power the JetBot AI+ really has. Having a very messy nephew and fur-baby, I can vouch for the 30W of suction power that the JetBot AI+ brings to the table. The best part is that if you know there is going to be a mess, like in my case my nephew absolutely shredding through his snacks, you can go into the Samsung SmartThings app and tell the JetBot AI+ to clean/focus on an individual room (this is why scanning a map of the home is so cool!). The best part of all of this is that after cleaning such a large mess, the JetBot AI+ will go to it's cleaning station to automatically empty its dustbin so that it's ready to fully tackle the next mess that it is presented with. Overall I am extremely pleased with the Samsung JetBot AI+! Having a house of both women with a full head of hair (read: they shed a LOT), as well as a shaggy fur-baby, the Samsung JetBot AI+ has shown that it is more than up to the daily challenges of helping us stay on top of clean floors. Even more so, I feel confident that I now have a robot vac that I can truly set and forget with the JetBot AI+'s obstacle avoidance truly working around things. Be it clothes, phone charging cords, or just a fur-baby that refuses to move, you can guarantee that the JetBot AI+ is going to work it's way around these things with no issues, while leaving you with a very clean floor!

Best robo vac ever. But big issue

this is the best robot vaccum i have ever used. however, the clean station requires a replaceable dust bag (like their jet stick clean station) and this bag is not available for ordering anywhere that i can see. it does not even show up on the samsung site. when you look at the jet bot product page, under accessories it even shows you the wrong dust bag. it lists the dust bag for the jet stick vacuum which is incompatible (i have both the stick and this robo). the vacuum only comes with two dust bags which may last a few weeks but without those dust bags this vacuum is essentially useless.

do not buy samsung robovacs! i purchased 2 r7065 and 1 r7070 less than 3 years ago. now that they are discontinued i can not get any parts support as samsung decided not to make parts for them as they are discontinued. there are no way for me to get brush replacements, battery replacements, and even filters.

it does vacuum, that's why i rated two stars when it comes to intelligence, it doesn't shine. it's marketed as a perfect vacuum for pet owners because it doesn't try to vacum pet's tail. that's true. what it also doesn't vacuum is all the fur that my cats leave behind after having their little fights. i was hoping i could teach it to clean up the cat fur while avoiding the toys but it's impossible. i can only change object detection from small to medium or big. the learning option is quite limited: only certain obstacles are detected and i can send a photo for learning. the piles of cat fur are never an option. it's also quite tall and doesn't vacuum under the shelves where it has 1cm+ available space above

Where do I start. Samsung has done it. No more rescuing my socks from the vacuum. I have a number of robot vacuums of various brands around my house and I constantly have to rescue debris from under them or clean up before...which I never do. That all ended with this godsend from Samsung. Demonstrably better object recognition, no touch emptying with the clean station, advanced mapping, a camera I can use to check on my 4 cats, and it picks up all the hair from those 4 cats. My only regret is that I couldn't buy more. I have a mix of carpet and hardwood floors in my house and this vacuum has no issues with either or making the transition. No need for an unsightly strip on the floor to tell the vacuum to stay out, that alone was worth the price of admission for me. I have several other Samsung smart devices and found this app intuitive and easy to use. The dust bin being washable is a game-changer for me, I hate being nickeled and dimed for filters and the like, this is a breeze to keep clean without added cost. I also like the 5-layer filtration system, that's really important to me with 4 cats running around the house, and family members with allergies. I'm definitely going to get another one for my finished basement.
