I had to purchase a new refrigerator and I was able to find the BOSCH 500 Series at Home Depot. This was a purchase well worth the cost and value. The BOSCH has room in all areas. The lighting is very nice and cools nicely. I appreciate the alerts when a door is left opened. This is a brand/refrigerator I would recommend.

Love the arrangement of the interior space, the interior lighting, quiet operation and great ice maker. Only con is that French doors are not soft close- they need a little extra push to ensure they are closed and keep getting left open just a bit. When only open a small degree, the alarm does not work nor phone alert

I'm still getting used to the French doors on this fridge. It has a significant amount of space, but it feels like less than I had before. I wish the shelving on the doors was designed better. Some of the shelves are so short on the edge that things fall out when the door is opened. The freezer portion is wonderful. It is plenty deep to hold several frozen chickens in addition to everything else. The freezer portion is more than I expected.

I like the door compartments a lot and the freezer is great but the water dispensor sucks, First the space is too small, I cannot even get my cats water dish in there. Second the spout points down towards the back of the box shaped area. I cannot fill any of my water bottle because of that. They need to make the boxed area bigger.

French door

Only reason I give it a 4 is door on right where you would put your milk has to be firmly pushed to close. We have found our selves not closing it completely numerous time since we purchased a month ago. We love the auto fill bottle feature that fills 12 oz bottle.

So far,so good. I have only had it a little over a month, but so far so good. I was concerned with the color--as our old GE was Slate color. This is not that far off and not noticable. The door closing seemed a little stiff, however it only takes some getting used to. I was origionally worried with only 1 ice maker (our old GE had two) because we use a lot of ice, but so far so good. I empty the ice into another tray in the freezer daily and it keeps up with us. It is very stylish, and no one can even tell it replaced our old Slate GE.

This is my 3rd refrigerator of this type of style and I am in love. For one, Bosche is the only real stainless steel out there and the fingerprints really don't show. You don't need SS cleaner:) You can see everything in the frig as the design is beautiful. We chose the standard depth because we cook and eat at home quite often. I highly recommend.

Comparing it to my previous refrigerator my water from dispenser doesn't taste as good and my ice cubes don't last as long in my drinks (I don't understand why just something I noticed). On the 2nd day the freezer door handle came off but was thankfully an easy fix once I bought a hex driver to fit. The doors don't close tight without an additional push so I really wish the door open alarm was a lot louder so we can notice quicker when it isn't closed

Bosch French Door Refrigerator

After our Kitchenaide went bad after only 8.5 years we decided to go with a Bosch which was our first choice before settling on the Kitchenaide. It is whisper quiet and maintains precise temperatures. The only complaint is that it had an E2 code within the first month of use. Still waiting for the repair. This is the second Bosch after purchasing the 800 Series dishwasher that is also whisper quiet and very efficient.

Ice machine issues

I was so excited to get this refrigerator, for two reasons. 1. Being Bosches reputation and 2. The ice maker. I had major issues with my previous fridge not making enough ice so the fact that this was Bosch fridge and the ice maker had a large capacity and fast production made my purchase a no brainer. I purchased in late May and it is now mid July and I couldn't be more frustrated with how I am already getting error codes and a non functional ice maker. I read through how to fix it and turning off and on my fridge is not something that I would have thought I would be doing continuously when I purchased less than 2 months ago. So now I go to use my warranty and there is no Bosch technician in Tampa Fl area so you give me a random phone number to a random repair man all with terrible reviews who are "Bosch" certified. Going through this is a huge headache and stress, both of which I was sure I wouldn't be dealing with for years when I bought this fridge. I am giving a 1 star review because I am truly disappointed. The fridge and freezer are cold but so was my other fridge that I thought I was getting rid of.

Nice refrigerator but...

Its a nice frig but after 2 months we already had an error code E02. Had to pull out & replug in the frig and it seems fixed, we hope. Home Connect already disconnected once and we wish the door alarm would beep alot sooner than it does. There is no setting to reduce the time, door must be open for over a minute before it beeps. Seems like a long time.

What's Not to Love?

We purchased this Bosch refrigerator last month and we love it. This replaces a Samsung that had lots of little quirks. The Bosch is much more functional, it looks great and it has so much more usable room in the top and bottom. I really like the "bottle fill" water feature. I've programmed it to automatically fill my large water cup so I don't have to stand in front of the fridge while it's filling. The icemaker is super fast and super quiet. In short, we're very happy with this purchase.

Botched Bosch

No clue who designed this fridge, but I didn't realize what a mess it was until I got it home. What's with the shelf over the ice maker chute that can't hold anything bigger than a stick of butter? And the shelves with fronts so low that containers will just flip out if you open the door too quickly? Weird shelf configurations no matter what you do, and shelves with no sides that allow you to accidentally push containers off. Not to mention how many times have I scratched my arm reaching in past that shelf with no side and a sharp metal edge. Tall items? Don't expect to group them together. I am already SO tired of having to rearrange everything in there to try to find the stuff I want! And forget setting temps for the fridge and freezer. Mine picked its own temps somewhere in the neighborhood of what I tried to set. The drawers aren't deep enough for large produce products ( think large head of cabbage). Some people may love it, but check it out closely before you drop that much cash.
